The Todd Valley Softball League organizational meeting was held

Feb. 4, 2009 at D.C. West High School. The meeting was called to order by President Rhonda Buckley. Everyone present introduced themselves.  Teams represented were: Yutan, D. C. West, Bennington, Fremont, Mead, Gretna, Blair, Papillion, Wahoo, Arlington, Elkhorn, &Ashland.

 The minutes of the August 17, 2008 meeting were read. M/S/C. The treasurer’s report was read. We have $2,826.08. M/S/C there are no     unpaid bills at this time.

Next was election of officers. The following people were elected unanimously:

Pres.:  Rhonda Buckley

Vice Pres: Ron Vasa

Sec. / Treas.: Shari Nygren

League coordinator: Wendall Pascarelli

 Roni Wobken District Commissioner explained the Dist. /State rosters, Individual registration, rule changes and background checks.

New this year is a $25 fee for coaches’ background checks.  One coach from each team, preferably head coach, needs to have this done.  You will need to present your card at Districts and State. Go online to ace.usasoftball.com and get it completed.

 Next on the agenda were rules changes:

Roster now due APRIL 15^th –will forfeit games if not in

Deadline for adding players to your roster is May 15^th

Teams not available to participate on the rain out date of the league tournament will forfeit.

League tournament games will be limited to those team members who are on the league roster as of May 15^th.

League tournament umpires must be paid following each day of work.

You must provide 2 new game balls for league tournament.

 League fees remain the same $175 per team. This includes league tournament.

Ashland   8U-2 or 3; 10U-1 comp, 1 rec; 12U-1 comp, 1 rec; 14U-1; 16U-1

Bennington  8U-1; 10U- 2 rec; 12U-1 comp; 14U-1

Blair     10U-1 comp; 14U; 16U

D.C. West 8U-1; 10U-1 comp; 14U-1; 16U-1

Elkhorn   10U-2 comp; 12U-2 comp, 2 or 3 rec; 14U

Fremont 14U-2 comp; 16U-1;

Gretna 10U-2 rec, 1comp: 12U-1 comp, 1 rec, 14U-1; 16U-1: (10’s & 12’s might change)

Wahoo 12U-2 comp, 1 rec; 14U-1 16U-1

Yutan   8U-2; 1 comp; 12U-1 comp; 14U

Mead   14U-1

Arlington 16U

Papillion    16U

 Let Wendall know by March 1^st if # of teams changes. 

League tournaments will be held on the following dates:

10 rec-           Blair -June 6^th & 7^th; rainout date:  June13^th & 14^th

10 comp-      D.C. West- June 6^th& 7^th, rainout- 13th & 14^th

12 comp-      Ashland-May 29-31^st; rainout- June 12-14^th

12 rec-?         (Missing info)

14                    Yutan -June 5-7; rainout 12-14^th

16                    Wahoo   May 30-31^st;

 Admission prices are Friday-$2.00 & $1.00 Sat/Sun. $3.00 & $2.00

 Tournament Umpire fees $25 per game

 Breakout meeting is March 10^th to schedule games. Times are as follows:

6:00 -16’s

6:30- 14’s

7:00- Roni Wobken speaks

7:15- 12 Rec.

7:30-12 comp.

8:00- 10’s

8;15- 8’s

Every team needs represented and everyone must be present for Roni’s

meeting at 7:00.
