Todd Valley Softball League held their End of Year meeting on August 11, 2009.

The meeting was called to order by President Buckley. The minutes of the Feb. 4, 2009 meeting were read. M/S/C

 Treasurer’s report $7,320.05  M/S/C

Bills to be paid:   Anderson Awards $854.17   Refunds to 10 Rec teams of Ashland and Bennington.  

The current officers of Rhonda Buckley, Wendall Pascarelli, Shari Nygren and Ron Vasa will serve another term. 

Items for discussion:  Change name to Competitive and Recreational.

Home will be closed and NO drop third strike for 10 Under Rec. M/S/C

Coaches need to read rules and understand the open run rule in the last inning.

Need to enforce Code of Conduct

Players must be on roster

Eliminate drop 3^rd strike and stealing in 12 Rec

Consider dividing 14U and 16U into A & B  --depends on number of teams

10 U Competitive can just have one umpire M/S/C

Continuous batting of lineup is allowed in all age groups for league play

Change run rule to match ASA:   15 after 3, 12 after 4, 8 after 5

FYI- pitching distance in High School for 2010-11 will be 43 feet

League tournament dates will be the first 2 weeks of June

14-Ashland

12- DC West

10 Comp- Wahoo

10 Rec –Blair

Out of rotation- Bennington

(A town must have a team participating in the appropriate age group to host the league tourney)

 League Awards were handed out. Next meeting will be an organizational meeting in February.
