*The state tournament dates will be moved back by one week for the summer of 2011.  Proposed suggestions are that Class D would be the first state tournament (we lose  cmany of these teams by the end of July), followed by A, B, and the C.

*The NASA website is greatly improved and will be live at the end of the month.  Special thanks go out to Vince Stephens, the Omaha JO district commissioner, for his hard work with this endeavor.

ACE CERTIFICATION/BACKGROUND CHECKS (not available until end of January via a link on www.nebraskasoftball.org):
*One coach per team MUST be ACE certified when competing in championship play.  This must be renewed each year.  This is done by going on-line, watching a video and answering questions.  A certificate is mailed to each coach who certifies.  Level 1 (first year) fees are $25.  A background check is included with ACE certification.  Each year thereafter is $20 (Level 2, Level 3, etc.) and will include a background check.

**All JO team personnel assisting within the field of play/dugout must have an ASA background check.  This fee is yet to be determined but will be $10 or less.  The ASA background check can be done by clicking on a link on the website.

Bollinger Insurance:
If an individually registered player is injured during the season, they have 90 days to file a claim.  Please make sure your families are aware that they need to get paperwork in as quickly as possible.  All claims must be first sent to the district commissioner of each district.  IN ORDER TO BE COVERED, YOU MUST BE COMPETING WITH AN ASA REGISTERED TEAM IN AN ASA GAME AND/OR ASA TOURNAMENT.
